Kwang-Sung Jun's research focuses on interactive machine learning (IML), which encompasses reinforcement learning, bandits, Bayesian optimization, and active learning. The group also develops novel confidence bounds crucial for efficient IML algorithms and investigates IML problems related to Large Language Models (LLMs). They collaborate on post-training of LLMs and efficient A/B testing systems.
