연구실 소개
The Steel Structures and Seismic Design Lab (SSDL) at SNU Architecture has been dedicated to advancing the field of steel structures and their seismic design through state-of-the-art research and innovation. Established in 2003, SSDL has conducted numerous pioneering research projects on relevant issues. Recent research topics include design considerations related to high-strength steel applications, seismic design of nonstructural elements, efficient seismic application of low-yield-point steel, analytical modeling of elevated-temperature steel column buckling, development of steel plate shear wall systems for high-rise modular construction, and innovative composite floor deck and frame systems for top-down construction. Our work is characterized by a unique blend of experimental research and advanced analytical/numerical approaches rooted in sound theoretical basis.
