This lab explores the cognitive developmental processes underlying the understanding of self, others, and interactions among people in children and adolescents. It investigates the impact of cognitive processes such as perception and attribution on behavior, and explores factors like self-esteem, self-identity, self-discrepancy, self-efficacy, and metacognition that influence cognitive/learning and social-cognitive abilities. The lab also studies how the quality of parent-child interaction affects cognitive and social-cognitive development, and the relationship between children's perception of parent-child relationships and parenting styles and their behavior. Furthermore, it examines the influence of the Internet (SNS) and media environment on social-cognitive and cognitive development in children and adolescents, seeking social innovation strategies for their healthy development.
