The center aims to build a hyper-convergence construction forensics platform that encompasses the entire upper/lower and water environment infrastructure, moving away from technology development in individual infrastructure fields to effectively identify the causes of infrastructure accidents and prevent disasters during complex disasters. It consists of 4 public institutions and 11 participating companies, including Korea University, Yonsei University, Seoul National University, and Kyungpook National University. The research vision is to develop core element technologies based on 4th industrial technology and create positive results in various aspects such as technical, economic, social infrastructure through technology integration and industry-academia cooperation. The ultimate goal of this research center, the development of hyper-convergence construction forensics technology, is essential in terms of securing original technology for future infrastructure management, and is in line with green new deal policies such as digital new deal, energy-climate change response through low-carbon policies, and green transformation of urban space infrastructure. Based on the hyper-convergence construction forensics platform for disaster occurrence, we aim to identify the causes of disaster occurrence and contribute to solving complex disaster challenges. We will fulfill our social responsibility to meet national goals while conducting research, and we will do our best to produce the best researchers in the field of disaster overcoming based on systematic research.
