The Advanced Opto & Nano Electronics (AONE) Laboratory was established at Seoul National University in March 2019 with a vision to pioneer the future of electronic devices. Our research focuses on cutting-edge optoelectronic and nanoelectronic devices for next-generation displays and future electronics, leveraging the unique properties of low-dimensional semiconductors such as quantum dots (QDs), nanoparticles, and organic materials. Our core research areas include quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) for high-performance displays, organic thermoelectric devices for efficient energy harvesting, and resistive memories (ReRAMs) for neuromorphic computing. In addition to device development, we actively explore fundamental device physics to deepen our understanding of charge transport, exciton dynamics, and interfacial phenomena at the nanoscale. By integrating advanced materials with innovative device architectures, we strive to redefine the limits of performance, efficiency, and scalability in electronic and display technologies, driving breakthroughs that will shape the future of smart and sustainable electronics.
