We strive to achieve “3S” – Superiority, Smartness, and Sustainability – in the development of future batteries. Through the convergence of chemistry, materials science, physics, and mechanical engineering, we address complex energy-related environmental challenges. Our research focuses on understanding the intricate behaviors of electrochemical materials and interfaces across various battery systems. By combining fundamental insights with practical applicability, we aim to bridge the gap between innovative concepts and real-world battery technologies. The lab focuses on next-generation battery technologies, including metallic anodes (Li, Zn), cell architecture design for various battery types (Li-metal, Li-air, Li-sulfur, Zn-metal), interface engineering for extreme conditions, nano-colloid electrolytes, and imaging-driven battery diagnosis with advanced sensors.
