The STA Lab at Yonsei University pursues research to improve the performance and efficiency of electronic devices and systems across all semiconductor technologies, including integrated process technology, structure proposal, analysis, circuit application, and other electronic device-based systems. We focus on semiconductor device fabrication, analysis, application, and the implementation of new device-based CMOS circuits. Our research aims to develop practical semiconductor technologies (process/device/application) through proposing new device structures and application ideas, confirming concepts via TCAD/SPICE simulation, implementing and verifying through experiments, and discovering new research topics based on improved ideas. We also aim to develop semiconductor technologies with improved performance and stability by identifying problem causes and verifying concepts through TCAD/SPICE and electrical/material measurements, proposing ideas for problem resolution, and verifying the effectiveness of ideas through fabrication/analysis. Separately, we are attempting to build automated systems utilizing AI for device/circuit design and analysis, including TCAD/SPICE/operation analysis/statistical analysis. We strive to cover semiconductor process technology, process design, device structure design, device analysis, device application, and circuit design from a lab level to a commercial technology level. Our research covers a wide range of semiconductor process, device, and circuit technologies.
