Welcome to the website of the Donghee Son Laboratory, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Yonsei University. Our research group aims to establish unprecedented bio-integrated electronic systems that bridge the long-standing gap between materials science and medicine. We integrate soft and self-healing materials with high-performance flexible and stretchable electronic devices, advancing their translation toward practical biomedical applications. Our research group focuses on two primary classes of soft bio-integrated electronics: (1) self-healing and stretchable artificial skin platforms, and (2) implantable and wearable neural/neuromorphic devices/systems. Through these efforts, we strive to contribute meaningful and transformative advancements that lead to qualitative improvements in healthcare and society.
