Advanced Computational Electromagnetics Lab

ACEM has been established with support from several governmental agencies and contributions from local industries. The major goal of the laboratory is to combine, in a synergistic manner, four different areas of research. These include Computational EM to solve challenging numerical problems RF Component and System to design new circuits, devices, and architectures EMI/EMC to analyze high-speed analog and digital circuits, and MIMO and Cognitive Radio technologies to prepare future wireless communications. The laboratory supports work in these areas by providing the necessary advanced equipment and facilities. Students, both graduate and undergraduate, receive training and instruction in a unique facility. The second major goal of the laboratory is to bring together the manpower and skills necessary to synthesize new areas of activity by stimulating interactions between different interdependent fields. Students and faculty are encouraged to become active in using the center's facilities, attending its seminars, and participating in innovative new research programs.
