The Hybrid Nanomaterial Interfaces (HNI) Laboratory focuses on the design and synthesis of advanced hybrid nanomaterials. Our research is centered on the precise control of interfaces within these materials, spanning multiple disciplines from new material synthesis and structure control to the fundamental investigation of interfacial phenomena. With practical and industrial applications in mind, we apply these materials to two main areas. High-performance membranes for separation processes (e.g., gas separation, water treatment). Functional materials for next-generation energy systems (e.g., fuel cells, batteries, electrocatalysts). Our group is composed of postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate researchers. We are committed to providing support and training for individuals who seek to solve challenges for a sustainable future through hands-on research. We are always looking for new members to join our team.
